Customer Reviews

“ This establishment is a family-run restaurant that offers two complimentary side dishes and exceptional customer service. The portions are generous and satisfying, and the cuisine is delectable. Although it is a small establishment, it can become quite busy during the weekend, so patience is appreciated. Typically, a bill for two individuals ranges between $35 and $50, which is quite reasonable. ”

“ We've been coming here for a while now because the elder Korean lady, the owner, is supremely generous. Lately, we've been getting the seafood pancake, Special Lunch Tofu Stew Combo, and the Wing Combo plate. The seafood pancake here is OK. In our opinion, Hansanf Tofu in Milpitas crams the most seafood in their pancakes. The lunch combo is a small tofu soup and your choice of protein (we ordered chicken) on a hot plate. So far, Bigspoon serves the most meat protein in their tofu soups. The meat on the hot plate is generous, flavorful, and tender. The fried chicken in the Wing Combo Plate was crispy, juicy, and not greasy. For us, the belated Korea House on El Camino Real served the crunchiest, plumpiest fried chicken wings. Lastly, the banchan here is plenty, and they aren't shy to refill them either. To date, the skimpiest serving of banchan is from Lucky Soul Diner in Milpitas. ”

“ Bigspoon is an underrated gem for authentic Korean cuisine in the area. They have a big variety of items, but my favorites here are the healing soups and banchan (side dishes). Here before this lovely place gets super busy like Kunjip ^^ Parking is easy and free in the little plaza lot! ”

“ Excellent place!!! Finally don’t have to drive to Santa Clara for good Korean food. The banchan is pretty good, fresh, and flavorful. The sea food pancake is also very good, crunchy and full of seafood ”

“ We went when it opened at 5pm on a Sunday when there were parking spots available on the street. The kimchi pancake is very good, not dry or too chewy. No meat or seafood inside so suitable for vegetarians too. The sweet potato cheese katsu is unique and tastes good. Tofu bibimbop has purple rice underneath. Stone’s temperature is just right. For the tofu stew, we choose seafood tofu soup with beef short rib. Both are delicious. The only downside is when we leave, the restaurant is fill with cooking smells. Probably the ventilation is not working properly. ”

“ We enjoyed a very good meal of Bibimbap with 7 small banchan. The Bachman included crab with daikon, fish, mushrooms, seaweed, kimchi and ranged from mild to spicy hot. The bibimbap was served with rice, cabbage, Seaweed, and topped with beef and egg. The beef had a few gristly pieces but was delicious esp when topped with a spicy sauce. Excellent service. Accessible entry and tables. Accessible restroom with 2 grab bars and 4 ft x 5ft space The restaurant has no music but is filled with conversation and laughter of happy customers. Humble warm place that is a little older venue. ”

“ This restaurant is situated within the small Green Plaza near Mckee. It is very clean, employees are nice and friendly. The restaurant offers a diverse selection of culinary options, all of which are highly regarded to their delicious flavors, including the banchan which comprises nine distinct side dishes. The portions are notably generous, and the pricing is very reasonable. Please be advised that weekends may involve a lengthy wait for both seating and service. However, weekdays typically present a more manageable experience in terms of availability. ”

“ We came here for lunch. We had the lunch special menu which included a small tofu soup (with few different choice of meats or veggies) and a meat side dish. Price was $19.90 before tax. I ordered the Korean short rib as a meat side dish ($4 more) and my friend ordered the pork bulgogi. For the tofu soup we both chose chicken. The soup and the meat were well seasoning. They were neither too salty nor too bland, just right to the taste. The short ribs were a little fat for me. The bulgogi was better. They can adjust the spiciness to your desire. The lady server was sweet and attentive. She refilled our free side dishes few times. The place was clean. I recommend this restaurant. ”
